In 1985, Joseph C. (Trey) Wood, III, AIA established the firm, focusing on this combination in healthcare design and planning. Combined, WMA's personnel have worked nationally and internationally on over 250 projects and have over 300 projects and over $350,000,000 of construction to their credit.
Our work includes planning and design for acute care facilities, psychiatric facilities, hospital systems, physician practice groups, research facilities and many specialty areas within hospitals. We give objective solutions to healthcare needs for the present and the future, with direct principal involvement throughout a project. Additionally, we have professional associations throughout the United States, which bring to our clients the very best in design of highly specialized facilities, and provide informed daily contact.
In 2005, the firm welcomed Yancey Powers AIA, who possesses over 7 years experience in health care and educational architecture, and Bradley Brigman AAIA, who possesses 5 years experience in health care and educational architecture.
Our business perspective is a function of our principals' past experiences. Each principal brings unique yet complimentary qualifications to each project by being involved from the project's inception in order to give objective, yet discerning, solutions to health care providers regarding their operational and physical needs for the present and the future.
